The session runs on the machine, not the browser. Close the laptop with an agent mid-task, open your phone an hour later, and it is the same terminal. Still connected, still working, your files and scrollback where you left them.

The limit, plainly: a disconnect or idle sleep will not touch your session. Restarting the machine will. A redeploy or a crash, and you come back to a fresh shell.
